Voice-Over Resources
This spring I was invited by Julie Williams to write a monthly career strategy column for her terrific publication, The VoiceOver Insider – truly the premiere magazine for voice-over talent worldwide. My column, which debuted in June, will continue for a year and focus on how voice-over artists can clarify important, career-enhancing actions, prioritize the actions based on their circumstances, and execute them successfully. (Most of the content will be applicable to the career of any performing artist.)
For those of you who can’t get enough of me, you can subscribe to the email magazine for free here.
My personal favorite LA-based voice-over networking resources (translation: if you are in LA and want to figure out how the town works, who the best teachers are, and who you should know on the other side of the mic, here are two great places to start:)
The Voice Over Workout Lounge: “putting you in the booth with the best in the business” (tell Roy Samuelson I say “hi”)
Animation Army: “the LA social networking group for everyone who’s into animation” (tell Georgette Perna I say “hi”)
For those of you outside of LA, here is the most thorough, one-stop resource covering the who’s-who and what’s-what of the voice-over industry:
Bob Souer’s blog (and please tell Bob “hi” for me too!)

Kristine,
Thank you for the very nice comments, and for the pointers to the additional resources. And while I’m here, I’ll just say I’m learning so much from your new audiobook. Great, great stuff.
Be well,
Bob
