A few additional thoughts:

I double dare you…

…the next time you feel something, just feel it.

Huh?

Well, our “feelings” are not something we often allow ourselves to feel – and I mean feel them in their unadulterated, uncomfortable, uncensored form.

So the dare is to feel your feeling as-is, without trying to minimize it (for relief) or maximize it (for sympathy).

At first, resisting the temptation to do either of those things may be a challenge. And letting the feeling pass through you may be unnerving.

But once you can get up the gumption to accept this dare, you will experience the truth: that simply feeling your feelings uses far less energy than manipulating them.

(And the less energy you use up futzing with your feelings, the more energy you’ll have to put towards your goals and dreams.)

Onward!
