A few additional thoughts:

Almost without exception…

…the folks who choose to work with me are smart, capable, and conscientious.

Sometimes too conscientious.

“Doing their best” and “giving it their all” is standard operating procedure for them.

Sound familiar? Well then, today I’m talkin’ to YOU.

I want you to keep this in mind: as an adult, when you pay to learn something – you get to learn it on your own terms.

Because grades don’t apply in the real world.

Excellence applies.
Wisdom applies.
Generating results applies.

If your thoroughness is in service to any of those three things, fantastic.

However, if you are spending time and energy being thorough because it’s the “good” thing to do, or you want to impress someone, I encourage you to let that old, school-taught habit go.

Once homework becomes busy work, it’s no longer serving your agenda.

If your gut is telling you that you got the goods you came for and paid for, you can give yourself permission to skip ahead to the next chapter or video or lesson or class or coach.

Onward!
